Working iteratively, I experiment painting the same image twice; the first with traditional methods, and the next with more unusual methods. During the iterative process, I created my own paints out of food, pills, and makeup, used everyday objects like razors as paint brushes, or created my own by cutting off my hair and attaching it to sticks found in my backyard. The entire process was a testament to my battle with control as a woman, and by limiting it through the use of abstract materials, I got to experience a period of art making unlike any other.
